The Assemblywomen

Directed by Ryan Emmons and Julie Congress
Masks by Jen Neads
Choreography by Nora Beckenstein

Assemblywomen marks No. 11 Production’s third appearance in SaratogaArtsFest, continuing its tradition of raucous Greek comedy in Congress Park. In Aristophanes’ Assemblywomen, the women of Athens seize control of the government, instituting an entirely communal society...even when it comes to matters of love. This overlooked 2400-year-old farce is as topical as it is hysterical for all ages. Song, dance, and the longest word in the Greek language will unite Saratoga in gales of laughter.

This production is also presented as a part of the 2010 Capital Fringe Festival!
