Ava Conovol worked with No. 11 on Medea (Choreographer).
Ava started her professional dance career at the age of 10 at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, performing with the company at Lincoln Center, City Center, and Apollo Theater. She has also been an active member of the theater world, studying at the Lee Strasberg School, Circle in the Square, and working with various directors while attending The Professional Children’s School. She has acted in several NYU films, performed at the Gershwin Theater in Raffi on Broadway, danced as a soloist in PCS’s annual benefit and performed the leading role of Trish in the Off-Broadway production of Album. Ava studied Dance, Business and Theater at Skidmore College. She made her mark during her senior year as director and choreographer of the student theater company’s production of A Chorus Line. She has worked with world-renowned choreographers Robert Battle, Dariusz Hochman, Germaul Barnes and the Parsons Dance Company. She has also been involved in the music industry as the lead back-up dancer for C&C Music Factory and Snap in the Sweatfest World Tour. She recently made a TV appearance for a six week segment on The Fox Morning Show. Ava choreographed the Saratoga Springs Little Spa Theater productions of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, of which Ryan Emmons was assistant-director, and Curtains.
