Ryan is a graduate of Skidmore College with a major in Theatre. Ryan has studied at both the British American Drama Academy and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has spent two years teaching theatre classes to low income and at-risk youth is Saratoga Springs; directing them in productions of Measure for Measure and Bat Boy: The Musical. Other directing credits include: Killer Joe, Overtones, and Bug which he directed at the historic Caffe Lena. He assistant directed How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at the Homemade Theatre. Ryan is also the director of the annual Northeastern Educational High School Theatre Showcase.
